KEYS’n’STICKS is a surprising musical lineup: piano, organ and drums. 

The three musicians are united by their love of improvisation, their passion for jazz, and the sheer joy of playing that comes from listening to one another at every moment and communicating with each other in ways that are sometimes downright magical.

KEYS’n’STICKS’ repertoire ranges from virtuosic pieces to soulful ballads. The band’s rhythmic palette spans from straight-ahead swing and subtle Latin grooves to intricate odd time signatures—the musicians are perfectly in sync in all time signatures and keys.

In addition to numerous original compositions, the band performs polished arrangements of well-known and lesser-known jazz standards.

The band was formed just recently and has released three music videos that really pack a punch: All original compositions, they quickly give you a sense of what the group is capable of.

Classical piano studies in Frankfurt/M., 1986 musical stay in Brazil, 1990-1994 MD at the Varieté Tigerpalast in Frankfurt, 1995 director of the Tom-Schlüter-Band in the RTL night show with Thomas Koschwitz, 1996 MD of the rock opera Tommy, 2000-2020 pianist of the hr-Jazzensemble, 2000-2010 head of the recording studio Off Town Music, since 2011 freelance music & media producer. Film music for first German national TV channel and others. Also pianist & conductor of the Frankfurt Radio Big Band with own productions. Since 2024 music procucer for Warner Chappell.

Musical collaborations with: Jermaine Jackson, Chaka Khan, Robert Palmer, Tom Jones, Percy Sledge, Teddy Edwards, Tony Lakatos amongst others.

Jean-Yves Jung

Jean-yves started the piano as an autodidact. Gigging nights, while studying Physics at the university; he decided to devote to the music after graduating.

He moved to Paris to study arranging and orchestration.

He‘s currently touring with Bireli Lagrene 4tet (album Elegant People––released April 2026 /album „movements“, universal music). Other notable collaboration: Billy Cobham „higher ground“, album „culturmix“.

Jens Biehl

Over the course of his career, Jens Biehl has collaborated with numerous internationally renowned jazz musicians such as Bob Degen, Tony Lakatos, Dusko Goykovich, Bob Reynolds, Ben Patterson, and many others.

Significant ensembles like the Frankfurt Radio Big Band also count among his clients. These collaborations demonstrate his high artistic quality and his networking within the national and international jazz community.

His stylistic openness and technical versatility enable him to operate in various jazz subgenres and to build musical bridges. As a result, Jens Biehl is a sought-after musician who significantly shapes the vibrant Frankfurt jazz scene. In addition,
